Japan has been faced with disaster this past week. They have seen an earthquake and a tsunami destroy their country. Now, Japan's nuclear reactors are blowing up and sending radiation waves through cities. People and everything in its path are being affected by the radiation. The third reactor was said to blow up soon, but now they are saying that it is cooling down.

I don't really think that Japan will be able to completely cool down the reactor. I don't think that anyone can control a nuclear reactor after an earthquake and a tsunami have struck it. Japan might be able to cool it down some, but it will probably heat back up. It also says that they are building an 8-foot wall to protect the people from the reactor if it were to explode. I don't think the wall will do that much if it were to explode. They should use more protection than that if they want to be safe.

Week 9
There was a massive 8.9 earthquake and a 30-foot tsunami following it this past Thursday. Everything in the tsunami's path was completely destroyed, including millions of lives. The death toll is exceeding 10,000 and more bodies are found every hour. Japan has sent out a distress call seeking for help, considering this is the toughest crisis since World War two.
Should every "well off" country try to help out as much as they can?
I most definitely think that they should help out. It is huge when an earthquake and tsunami that big hit a highly populated part of Japan. Countries like the United States, Britain, and France should be the first countries to respond. They should do everything they can to help Japan out. We would definitely want someone to help us if this ever happened in the U.S. No one would want their country to be abandoned in a time of need. It is up to the world to come together and help out Japan in their hour of need.
